As senior executive director, Gillian Virata is responsible for BPAP’s marketing and research service lines, overseeing relations with many of the association’s key stakeholders, and coordinating with other departments of the association through BPAP’s respective executive directors and staff. As research director, she provides industry statistics and information to the public through the publication of annual industry statistics on talent pools, IT-BPO revenues, and employment, and the resulting benefits to the country. The research team also takes charge of compiling the Next Wave Cities™ scorecard, annual report, and the latest industry trends. She has extensive professional experience in world-class research with reputable institutions such as World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Ayala Corporation, C. Virata & Associates, and SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co.
