Adrian Cristobal Jr. is undersecretary for Industry Development and Trade Policy and leads the formulation of the country’s trade and investment policies and strategies. He is also the managing head of the Board of Investments. A lawyer, columnist, and law professor, Usec. Cristobal has also served as undersecretary for Consumer Welfare and Trade Regulation, supervising undersecretary for Legal Affairs, chief of staff of the secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry (2001–2004), and director general of the Intellectual Property Office (2005–2009). Usec. Cristobal obtained his Political Science degree from the University of California at Berkeley, USA and his Juris Doctor of Laws at the Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines.
